Cardo's Pizza of Jackson, Ohio opened for business on Wednesday, November 8, 1989. The owner and operator, John Moore, is a 1986 graduate from Waverly High School and a 1989 graduate from The Ohio University School of Business. The original restaurant location was a 500 square foot building on Broadway Street which offered pick-up and delivery orders. In 1997 the business was moved to its current location at 19 W. South Street, the former Henry's grocery store, a local landmark for many long time Jackson County residents.

The new, larger facility allowed for the business to expand its services and add dine in addition to delivery and pick-up orders. Since November of 1989, Cardo's Pizza has been serving the area with the basic idea that our customers come first and satisfying them every single time they order is our main goal and motivation. The employees at Cardo's Pizza of Jackson are among the best anywhere and work hard at the different aspects of serving the customers. In August of 2004 John married Jenny Armstrong, a former employee from 1998-2000.
